Another idea to reforest land...???

Instead of planting trees, introduce animals first as a farm where people can come and tend animals and let the poo enrich the soil.

Then like any vacant farm land like say 1000 acre lots or even just 100 or 500 or 2000, do like a square fence line around and have it all fenced off in a big one square, and just put your animals all in there with a driving track around for 4x4 or cars or bikes... and have like nature parks everywhere people can visit.. and as you go plant stuff, like have your animals all in there, and eating grass and let it all build up into a forest slowly from bottom root to tip to the top to the very tip top dont stop go!! G g gg gg gg G gO!!!

PLEASE!!! Don't have too many buildings maybe just a cottage to stay at or some camps.. but please give your animals shelter from heat and rain and cold.. like some sheds or barns first before the trees all grow!!! PLEASE IMPORTANT THEY SUFFER VERY MUCH!!!

Especially in desert don't work them too hard they are flesh and blood, not like superman!!

If you want some trees and you got animals, you can fence the trees off a bit when they are young.

It's a bit of work but a small wooden fence around saves all the wire.

Wood is best out there in nature.

If its rabbits eating the bark at the base, you can just place some hessian bag around it and tie it up, try not damage the tree. Over time, the hessian will rot and get eaten away as its natural fibre and also the string will rot away too, so you don't need check it again.

Anything plastic like those plastic sleeves and wire or plastic ties not too good.

Boundary fences you might need to just wire them along. Unless you think of something else more natural.

There is one solution that works well, you dig a trench along and the dirt you place on the inside along as you dig, dig it deep and fill it with water like a moat, and the animals won't go through it.

If they can walk through maybe, but not deep enough to slip and fall in, they will get scared and not try.

Very easy cheap solution to all that fencing and you might get some foxes jump over or some other animals but its ok, it will just keep the ones you want in.

And it will feed your live stock at parts where you leave a gap you can add a little blockade.

They can drink fresh running water like a little river, even use it as irrigation for plants. AND no kangaroos get tangled in wires. They can migrate.

You could even feed it into a damn system, across your properties.

So you might lose a few and your neighbour gets them... well you might get a few of theirs too?!!
