I was just considering what it might be like to live at your friends place who is disabled and help them recover by taking care of them and the home and maintaining it whilst motivating the person, your housemate to gently remind them to do the healthy things involved to recovery so they can take care of themselves and their needs better. There really is nothing like getting home to your own house and you have it to yourself and your family, no need for strange people wandering through doing things to it, like looking through your private stuff while cleaning.. I know I been guilty checking out girls panties when I was younger staying at peoples places.. but you know its healthy interest really, but not for older people.
Anyway be great to have a top room to myself and have it set up with all my gaming and art and music and screens and computers and consoles and projectors and couches and a big table with four chairs.. here that I have ..
Then down stairs my room mate can have just the lounge to himself and all his stuff, and I just share the space and watch TV with him.
And like I have a downstairs bedroom like him so it's fair.. and he has the two bedrooms for his bed and study. And he has the downstairs living room and bathroom.
All my other things are upstairs and ensuite. And storage room.
Anyway I would much prefer to have my own home for myself, but sharing with someone you know can be beneficial to both people. Especially since I've recovered and am fit and motivated now, to help other people get to this stage where it's now up to them or yourself where you go from here.
It's better than giving up and being confined to a bed. After a while with illness it gets worse if you are lazy and don't fight it. You know especially involving weight gain.
Yeah so you get paid to live there and it pays your bills and rent from your income, plus a few things like food, petrol, car repairs, and home upgrades like technology and camping or holidays.. and getting out a bit meeting some new people or girls.. that's all I want.. and a backyard take care of my dog.
Maybe even a little vegetable garden. That is a good thing for people to do to get some fitness and health back.
I would be studying too... electronics at RMIT next year, so I could also as well as have that job, do some sideline carer or support work too.
You know your room mate even though he might need help needs time to himself all day to do his thing, doesn't want you breathing down his neck.
I guess he could still have a cleaner come through for his bottom area.. and the top gaming room and my ensuite I just leave it closed and they can't go in there... just say bottom floor only, because I like keeping my shit tidy myself and my bedroom just say no access. And the rest is ok for him to have his worker come in and do their business.
PLEASE STOP EDITING MY WORDS PLEASE!!!!!!!
I don't think he would mind too much me showing just the upstairs area, I mean we all seen lounge rooms and kitchens and bedrooms and bathrooms before.
But this upstairs cinema room space... could have a table either side, and couches too, with gaming all around the sides, and projector down one end... I think would be good. Be nice to have the table in the middle but then you have cords running across the carpet better to have them up the back of the tables against the walls. If you have a dinner party can always pull one out a bit.
This is a nice big space.. be great as a bedroom, but even better a gaming/entertaining room.
Like have it like this or something?
Could even incorporate a bed and have the bottom one for guests?
A. - The projector stand and throw image on the far wall in front of it.
B and C. - Tables.. somehow? Or just one.
D and E. - Couches... either side in front of the doors to the balcony. It's cool walking behind them.
F. - Maybe my Queen double Bed?
G. - The desk from my bedroom here as well?
I think it would all fit, or you could have like one couch and some sofa chairs. Or just one dining work table?
Oh the other TV I have 75inch needs fixing, but when I fix it have it on the side wall or the opposite one out of the photo, near the entrance?
Have a NEC smaller projector on opposite wall, so you have in the end four screens....
One VAVA projection on big end wall... with Intel PC.
One Big 75inch TV on side wall...
One NEC smaller 4:3 projector for SEGA and Wii on opposite side wall....
And my AMD PC down the back on the Desk with my UHD screen.
Have some LAN parties???
Play Warhammer on the VAVA against Mickey Mouse on Sega linked up.
Actually the bed would make more sense over on the corner near where the E is... out of the way the backrest is pretty high, then you can pull the table out for dinner.
Have my outside balcony tables I have two one from Bunnings was $90 for the TV over by the wall, and my other one the Eltham one from Salvos.. which is nice but needs the top refinished... its scratched but can cover with a cloth, just leave in the middle with the chairs!!!! BINGO!! Was his name----o!!!
Anyway, he hasn't said yes yet, its a bit early and well.. have to run the idea by his team.. maybe I can get a job there? But we could do electronics and art and music up there too upstairs might be room for my amp and guitars.. it's a wide lens so it looks bigger....
Two tables too much I use my outside table for my gardening put in garden.!!!
I have a TV stand for God's sake will be perfect there.
It's good to work on a sturdy table outside doing gardening. He has some covered area and we can put the BBQ out there too and grill and air fryer?
OMG I just thought of something my balcony.. I have no real use for it, but faces the SUN!!!!
I can use my solar and save money!!! Get like a bracket hang my solar off it.
Shit I forgot to get my second battery!!!
You really need two. Around the same age.. might be a workaround..
Slow down.. hasn't said yes yet...
Might be a another better option to get out of this place.. it's a good step up from the Motel but I honestly hate it here.
You never get peace... even though I am at peace the noise and bad vibes and like the feeling in this place like you surrounded by drug people..
Feel like people spying.. horrible!!!!
His place would be good, at least I know him, and in the front entrance what would be perfect!!!????
My fish tank.
There is a perfect spot opposite the door. With a power plug socket.
Sorry I got to show it....
Like along the wall, but have the cabinet matching the other way around the tank.. so the cupboards face out and the glass faces out.. at the moment they are opposite.
Or if he doesn't like it.. maybe upstairs is harder to carry up.. but there's a landing on the top of the stairwell... would be really cool up there...
I think away from the entertainment area so they are in quiet.
Like even the doorway might not be that good but upstairs they get a view I think...
Last photo.. I will just share this one, be cause it's not personal..
I said I wouldn't show anyone but my family.. but this is ok I hope.
Over by the window would be good, just not sure where the power points are there?
Or down this end near where I was standing.
These areas make good gallery space for art, or cupboards for like sports gear or games, or like bed linen.
Good light for the fish in front entrance... and power.. its not normally blue the tank.. its clear and its just the neon light.
Could put our shoes in the cabinet doors at bottom cause there's no floor to the cabinet it just goes to the house flooring, so good for shoes.
Be nice keep each other company... wonder if he would mind me having my dog there or even getting couple of cats or another dog? I would take care of them.. I really want two dogs and two cats. Like as well as my fish. And maybe one day a couple of birds too.
Like you could keep the cats down stairs... and dogs outside.. and birds upstairs.
That storage cupboard, could have a big cage in it, and then you could keep the door closed to the top room and close the balcony doors and just let them roam with a big net above along the roof. And leave the storage door open with cage and food in it and water and let them fly in of a night. I think there's a window in there?
If not this house one like it.. I love home planning.
If I had two batteries for my solar.. I could have my panels outside on a bracket which lets them sit up high off the balcony bannister, or somewhere along there and that way you can check it.. I'm pretty sure it's sunny out there?
I could power some stuff in my room like a fridge or freezer.. ? Or lights.... or something.. maybe my phone chargers? Or computer chargers. I have a power converter what do they call it from 12 Volt DC to AC 230V. Inverter.
I just need a fuse box for it, like small fuse to stop it if I plug too much in. But I probably won't overload it. Like a safety isolator auto switch thingy be bob would be good. Fuse switch like in your home household fuse box these days.
Speakers would be ok, I guess. Probably not my projector or TV's or computers, though.
