Watching an animated version of King of Kings it has some Dickins reference too like he is telling the story to his kids..
When he says "Your sins are forgiven." They get upset because they say only God can forgive sins, and Jesus says...
"What is easier to tell this man his sins are forgiven, or to say to a dead man - rise and get up and walk?"
I think that's what he says I was sort of distracted... but anyway..
I remember that whole scene very well....
Jesus was standing by a round clay pot, it was up to his waist in size filled with water.
It was the sort of pot, people used to rinse poo off their bodies, like around the bum, they would get a cloth and dip it once into the water and then wipe their bottoms... but Jesus didn't know, he never used a pot like that, no one ever told him.
So what he did was blasphemy and they thought he knew...
He took a cup and filled the water and drank it.
And the people there were horrified because people often snuck in a second dip.
And Jesus in that moment realised it was a shit wash pot.
And he walked off for a while and threw up behind the house.
And he walked back and they stopped laughing, this was what it was like for Jesus they always played jokes on him and mocked him all his life.
But when he came back, he didn't get upset instead he drew another cup and drank it.
And he said I shall turn water into wine.
And they all got really upset... that he did that.
So one guy went to stab him with a knife. They did it often stab people all the time they didn't like who upset them, or they burned them with oil.
It is why so many died of gangrene or leprosy in the street, people just were always getting wounded over stupid things.
And when this man fell down, before his feet, Jesus stood over him.
And he laid his hand on the man with the knife and he calmed down and he said, I forgive you.
And the man dropped the knife in fear and fell down too before him on his knees.
And he cried out, forgive me Lord. It was John.
And he said to him, I know what has brought this evil upon you, you know not what you do.
And John said, I am not worthy Oh Lord Jesus.
And Jesus said is it easier for me to take a knife and stab a man, than to say you are forgiven?
And he took the knife off the ground, wiped it and gave it back to John.
And John threw the knife away.
And then he stood John up next to him in front of everyone and John was sobbing holding his hand.
And Jesus said, this man has never known love. This is all he knows.
Meanwhile the guy on the ground who was in pain bleeding has fallen unconscious. Like dead.
And Jesus hugs John and says to him John The Baptist who baptises men with blood in the name of God, go and sin no more and baptise with the water.
And he ran.... and became John the Baptist.
And he said then to all else, because more people gathered around.
Is it not easier to tell a man like John that his sins are forgiven?
And he crouched down on the ground on his feet, so he was low enough to lay his hands on the man laying on the ground unconscious... and rubbed his body all over, chanting to himself... Allah, Ramen, Allah, Ramen, Allah, Mercy, Allah, Mercy....
And the man moved a bit...
And everyone was shocked and some ran away to get the priests in fear...
And he said, I ask once more again, is it not easier to say your sins are forgiven than to ask a dead man to rise and walk?
And the man moved his legs, and Jesus helped him up. There was a pool of blood under his body.
I remember seeing him, my brother, I was watching hidden the whole time.
And as the man stood he smiled and said Jesus I saw you, the real you. And you took me to a place I never have seen before. And you said Lazarus you will one day deceive me and you will die and I won't be able to raise you again.
And he said Jesus, I fear for you.. for there is another who will deceive you. I can not say his name. For Lord it is terrible fate for you. Worse than death itself. Your God will reject you in your hour of need and turn you over to your demons.
And Jesus didn't move. He just said resolute. I know.
Now Lazarus rise up and walk!
And Lazarus got up on his feet gently shaking and stood proud and said.. I was dead and now I am alive!! Thanks to this mans sacrifice to all of us!!
And the priests all looked horrified who had gathered... and that's when it went from Jesus being free and Jesus being cursed from then on, to die on the cross.
BAPTISM:
There is a reason people were baptised under John with water and not of blood.
Those who were killed in God's name of blood, never survived long afterwards.. they ended up more brutal and more deadly and more murderous and sick.. it is like being obsessed with the body, not the spirit.
The spirit is like water you see not blood. And it reminds us of who and what we are when we are immersed, we are mortal. Because he would hold them under until they passed out and died, then bring them to land and resuscitate them. It was learning about the body and spirit and medicine and paramedics. John is the Saint the Ambulances follow usually, St. John of God.
So you see you can be baptised any way, but it is much harder and much more dangerous being baptised into knowledge of God and the spirit being baptised in the blood and much more painful.
Some like myself weren't baptised of water, so the knowledge came accidentally so it is fire. Immediate, frightening, terrifying, relentless destruction, but at the end, you are a charred soul, and only a phoenix can save you and rise you up. Marriage of Heaven and Earth.
Jesus was the name of God. We were twin brothers. Well similar age we looked pretty much identical at birth. Son of Man and myself the Son of God.
My brother died a terrible death, brutal and relentless blood soaked hell.
Me I died the same way but I never felt it, I left... and later returned picked up my body from the tomb and walked away.
In my history I was blessed, I never have been harmed.
You know what the difference was?
My brother Isaiah failed on his final promise to raise a dead man.
I always kept all of mine.
He was human.. I was perfect, I was God.
The spirit came to me.
I will never let you down.
