My cheesy tuna bake

I stayed up late last night to make some dinner. My clock is a bit out of whack not having money, so I did some shopping got a few things and it was late but I was hungry couldn't afford pizza so made the tuna bake at 5:00am.

It was my own recipe and came out nice but I forgot the fresh herbs.

First I put boiling water on and when boiling add a big packet of tube pasta, with some salt.

Then I make the béchamel sauce.

I slightly brown about a cup of flour in a small saucepan and then take it off the heat add some warm water until it is a smooth runny paste.

Then put back on the heat adding some milk and some butter and heat it up, then add some grated cheese pepper and salt and little bit powdered nutmeg.

Once the béchamel is like starting to thicken slightly not runny, I switch off the heat.

I put the drained pasta which is slightly undercooked not totally soft, into a baking dish, add some chopped raw onion, some mixed frozen or fresh vegetables and some tuna, big tin. Tip the spring water in too from the tuna adds some moisture and where all the flavour goes.

This is where I should have added some fresh mint or basil or parsley, but I forgot, can always add it at the end serving.

And I pour the béchamel over the top it all. You don’t need to mix it in or anything can leave it all layered.

Then add some more grated cheese, spread it over just enough to coat it so it will brown off.

Cook for 45 minutes in fan bake oven at 180 degrees.

All done and cold now in the fridge…

Trigger didn’t mind it either the evidence…
