Watching Leon 2 -- hahah.. I mean "Cold Blood Legacy".

I didn't think much of this movie when it was noisy around my unit, but now its a bit more peaceful I can appreciate this film and the nuances of the little sounds and background TV sounds or radio and polite sensitive conversations that go on.. that's what this film is about hearing the car noises rolling past or the wood chopping.

And I am reminded of a technique I used to use as Amadeus for fire wood that was really great.

You have a grove of good wood trees, like hard wood even red box... and you trim the branches from the live trees. And stack them for kindling... and then you cut rounds off the branches until they are stumps.

It gives you good solid wood to burn on a hot fire as green wood which doesn't really smoke in a log cabin, but it bleeds out moisture and sap and smells beautiful in your log home.

And the trees don't mind the pruning, and when you need another log you go and trim one off, you don't accumulate wood stacks which bring vermin and reptiles like snakes too.

You don't even need an axe or to chop the wood, because the branches are always about the right size, not too thick.

And you don't kill the tree, you are just pruning it, not cutting it down to burn.

And if you have a fire, it doesn't really catch with no leaves and branches close to the ground.

You get a spooky kind of orchard of trees around your house, but you could just have it a bit further away and have like smaller ever green bushes closer in so you don't get fires. And it doesn't obstruct the view and believe it or not, cutting the branches causes in the tree a bit of dry rot and the birds love it and they get a great view too, and with leaves at the top of the trees the birds nest higher up and are safer.

And you can build good tree houses without branches around too much. Just long stumpy ones, and you can sit in your tree house and if you design it well and maybe covers a few trees or have rope bridges you can walk around comfortably and cut off a round of wood.

The little branches will each spring grow back in shoots and you can leave them grow for a while and sculpt your trees.

There's always a place for wood businesses to sell bags of dry wood to make your fire hot enough to keep burning greenwood.

Some people love chopping wood, but hard wood is really difficult you almost need a splitting machine.

This girl once invited me to a log cabin to camp, I got the feeling she kind of liked me but also was trying to help me a bit, but it didn't really happen, and I said to her be nice to bring your friend too.. I like groups sometimes you know me and a few girls.. but yeah never happened I think they both married now...
