What I think police work should be.
I hate getting my first aid certificate every few months.. why I don’t really want to do jobs that require it.
Imagine being in a job where your every move is scrutinised by your boss, the public and criminals and your family etc.
Then you have to deal with road deaths, car accidents, armed robbery so I have upmost respect for police and what they do I try help as a good citizen it’s not easy being on low income out of work myself.
I think police should just prevent crime.
Other units should deal with separate cases like a murder squad, a car accident squad you know break it up into different roles but police shouldn’t have to be big and muscly and tough they can be gentle wise helpful and kind and just police things.
They patrol and if they see anything suspicious just report it back to fix.
Like a big pot hole, someone carrying a gun or weapon, etc etc or a fallen tree. Just patrol, police, be vigilant and report to base.
That way they can go unarmed just with a taser.
The law doesn’t have to mean punishment it can mean counselling, removing dangers or anything prevents injuries.
Human beings shouldn’t be given too much power because it can go to their head.
Smaller more specific roles is a good idea.
Like keeping internet traffic safe from hackers?
Slowly we could reduce the fear factor which grips communities and make it more just living together sharing the space safely.
Police could wear a blue uniform with a sash? Look pretty or nobel? Instead of intimidating.
